This month, we are bringing you all things Pumpkin, Spice and Everything Nice!! Starting with our Pumpk'n Treats from Bocce's Bakery, next enjoy Winnie Lou's Pumpkin & Apple Treats that are sure to make your pups mouth water! Throw in a Himalayan Cheese Bone for some long fun (and teeth cleaning)! Lucky Beef Chips are one of Dovers favorite! Break them up for a training treat, or give them to your pup while! If you’re on the market for a new furry best friend, then you might be considering either rescuing your next dog or buying one from a breeder. But have you considered the impact your choice will have on the planet --not to mention your time, energy, and money? 

There are definitely some great advantages to buying a new puppy from a breeder, including the cuteness factor and training a pup to specific criteria that works for your lifestyle. But in our honest opinion, there are disadvantages to this choice that far outweigh the advantages. Here’s why.

We already know that dogs aren’t the most environmentally friendly investment (we talk more about that in this post right here). So when we choose our next furry family member, let’s make sure we make this the most planet and animal-friendly decision we possibly can. 

It’s probably time to have a conversation about the birds and the bees. 

Well, maybe just the bees. 

And yes, we mean actual bees.

As an eco-friendly pet product business, we are big fans of bees and the role they play in our lives. Protecting honeybees and encouraging people to create bee-friendly environments or even become beekeepers themselves is an important part of preserving our earth. In this post we will share honeybee basics, how to “bee” friendly in your own backyard, and why it is important to support local beekeepers.

These could be everyday products that are sitting in your laundry room, under your kitchen sink, in your garage, and even out in your yard.

As humans, we usually know how to stay away from toxic substances, but unfortunately, dogs aren’t as in tune danger. Curiosity can lead to an unexpected visit to your vet which is why, as a dog owner, it’s important to know which chemicals are harmful to your pups, what household products they are found in, and take action accordingly!
